This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.
• Acting as the main technical liaison for customers in the US and Americas, fostering relationships with both technical and commercial stakeholders.
• Assisting in pre-sales efforts alongside the Sales and Solution Engineering teams: conducting technical discovery, assessing data readiness, and engaging in architectural discussions.
• Spearheading technical onboarding: analyzing Single Line Diagrams, mapping sensor hierarchies (from cell to string to rack to enclosure to PCS to system), and setting up sensor specifications in Databricks prior to KPI rollout.
• Overseeing KPI rollout and validation: launching TWAICE KPIs and troubleshooting sensor data quality concerns, inadequate cycling data, and aggregation discrepancies.
• Directing performance analysis during commissioning and augmentation: interpreting capacity test results, identifying anomalies (such as cell imbalances, voltage spread issues, RTE gaps), and creating outputs suitable for executive review.
• Highlighting recurring product gaps and customer insights to the Product and Engineering teams.
• Conducting platform training for performance engineers, O&M leads, and asset managers.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% for customer meetings and on-site engagements across the Americas.

• Familiarity with the lifecycle of a BESS project from commissioning through its first year of operation is expected.
• A degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated experience in BESS is required.
• Proficiency in Python within an analytical framework: processing sensor data, verifying signal quality, and debugging anomalies.
• Experience with Databricks is a plus.
• Comprehensive understanding of lithium-ion battery behaviors, degradation processes, capacity fade, DC internal resistance, SoC estimation, and cell voltage/temperature imbalances.
• Knowledge of BESS data flows and ingestion protocols (including Modbus, IEC-104, OPC-UA, REST API, SFTP) is necessary.
• Familiarity with US wholesale power markets and ISOs/RTOs (such as CAISO, ERCOT, PJM, MISO, SPP, ISO-NE, NYISO) is important.
• Strong communication skills are required, with proficiency in English; Spanish is a plus for broader coverage across the Americas.
