Senior Banking, Onboarding Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Cyprus.

📋 Description

• Comprehensive onboarding process for corporate accounts at Tier 1–3 banks, EMIs, and crypto exchanges worldwide.

• Overseeing more than 10 simultaneous onboarding procedures across various stages.

• Directing complete KYC, KYB, and AML processes, including intricate annual reviews and on-the-spot compliance inquiries.

• Establishing and nurturing direct relationships with bank relationship managers and compliance officers.

• Actively seeking out new payment solutions and alternative banking options for corporate crypto and gambling requirements.

• Assisting the Legal and Finance teams with Substance obligations within the holding structure.

• Keeping track of the EMI landscape and evolving risk appetites in key jurisdictions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of practical experience in Banking/Onboarding in the iGaming, Gambling, Betting, or High-Risk FinTech sectors.

• Familiarity with the EMI ecosystem: Airwallex, Bankera, Statrys, PayDo.

• Profound knowledge of KYC / KYB / AML regulations, including Source of Wealth (SoW) and Source of Funds (SoF) requirements.

• Understanding complex corporate structures, such as multi-layered holdings, UBO chains, and multi-jurisdictional ownership.

• Legal literacy with comfort in handling M&A documents, Certificate of Incorporation (COI), Register of Directors, Incumbency Certificates, Power of Attorney (PoA), and Apostille processes.

• Awareness of substance requirements and the economic substance rules necessary for passing bank compliance (local offices, local staff).

• Proficient in Business English at the C1/C2 level, capable of engaging in live compliance discussions and drafting legal correspondence.
