Senior Backend Software Engineer – Data Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Data Architect to assess current data sources, perform gap analysis, and design the pipelines and integrations that support the Knowledge Graph platform.

• Evaluate existing data sources (APIs, schemas, quality, schema markup);

• Conduct gap analysis between existing systems and the desired Knowledge Graph model;

• Assist in System Architecture design by providing integration and data-flow insights;

• Create ETL/ELT pipelines into the target lakehouse/data lake (e.g., OneLake) utilizing tools such as Fabric Data Factory and Dataflows Gen2, or equivalent;

• Develop the LLM enrichment pipeline and the human-review process;

• Document API contracts, source-to-target mappings, and pipeline sequencing for Build.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in backend engineering, including at least 2 years in data engineering;

• Proficient in C# / .NET and/or Python (experience with PySpark is a plus);

• Practical experience with contemporary cloud data engineering platforms and tools (e.g., Microsoft Fabric — Data Factory, Dataflows Gen2, Lakehouse, OneLake, Notebooks — or similar services on Azure, AWS, or GCP);

• Strong expertise with cloud platform services (e.g., Azure Functions, SQL, Service Bus/Event Grid, Key Vault, or equivalents on other cloud providers);

• Familiarity with REST APIs, GraphQL, webhooks, and event-driven integration patterns;

• Experience with integrations involving SaaS platforms (PIM / eCommerce preferred);

• Knowledge of Azure OpenAI or LLM-based pipelines;

• Strong SQL skills; familiarity with graph query languages (GQL, Cypher, SPARQL) is an advantage.
