Senior Backend Engineer – Ruby on Rails

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Contribute proactively to the design, development, and maintenance of our Ruby on Rails backend in collaboration with a dynamic, cross-functional team.

• Engage in pair programming, code reviews, and technical spikes to enhance collaboration and ensure high code quality.

• Collaborate closely with our CTO, Product Lead, and Sustainability Lead to turn customer feedback into impactful features that create significant change.

• Create scalable, efficient solutions for complex challenges while adhering to clean coding principles.

• Maintain a high standard of code quality through automated testing, peer reviews, and consistent utilization of ESLint, Rubocop, and other code quality tools.

• Take full ownership of the deployment process, from testing in a separate environment to live deployment on Heroku, ensuring seamless and reliable platform performance.

• Drive enhancements in automation and platform monitoring to keep us at the forefront of technology and sustainable solutions.
