Senior Backend Engineer – Golang Migration

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Transition and optimize existing Python logic into Golang services managed by various teams.

• Quickly learn and adapt to internal tools, systems, and procedures to accelerate the migration process.

• Work closely with engineers from different teams to ensure seamless project delivery.

• Troubleshoot complex issues swiftly and offer clear, actionable solutions.

• Uphold high standards of quality by maintaining well-tested code with comprehensive validation.

• Identify and implement enhancements in our migration tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in backend engineering, including building, deploying, and managing production systems.

• Demonstrated experience with large-scale B2C applications, particularly those that are high-traffic, highly available, and performance-sensitive.

• Recent roles should have Golang as the primary programming language, along with proven ownership of production services (including design, development, deployment, and on-call support as necessary).

• Strong system design capabilities with an emphasis on latency, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.

• Experience in building and supporting data-intensive systems, including the ability to troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and production challenges.

• Solid engineering fundamentals: adept in testing practices, clean code principles, SOLID principles, and common design patterns.

• Comfortable collaborating across functions with Product and Design teams; able to articulate technical trade-offs clearly and assist in scoping and prioritizing tasks.
