This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Spearhead the development of significant projects within the team, engaging in cross-team efforts related to Remote's HR and Payroll products.
• Actively engage in product-related tasks within the team: offer feedback, propose solutions to challenges, and leverage technical insights to recommend product enhancements.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of the team's domain from both product and engineering perspectives.
• Provide constructive feedback during code reviews.
• Contribute to the collective codebase.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical and business challenges.
• Participate in activities outside the team, including support rotations, the hiring process, and RFC discussions.
• Mentor and guide fellow engineers.
• Investigate, propose, and assist in the implementation of platform improvements.
• Develop interfaces with an emphasis on performance, accessibility, and API design.
• Redesign the process of how engineering work is delivered, utilizing autonomous agents as the primary execution layer.
• Propose and implement end-to-end agentic workflows (specification → planning → execution → verification) to achieve outcomes more efficiently.
• Create reusable agentic workflows and components in the codebase, enabling teams to apply them consistently across various domains.
• Utilize verification loops (tests, checks, evaluations, guardrails) to ensure outcomes are accurate, secure, reliable, and scalable.
• Strong engineering principles and a proven history of delivering production systems that are secure, reliable, and scalable.
• Hands-on experience in designing or adopting agentic/automation workflows (or similar systems) and enhancing them through iterative processes.
• Ability to think systemically: clearly define specifications, break down plans, implement verification, and ensure quality control.
• Proficiency with Postgres (or a similar database).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, or similar).
• Demonstrates strong automation skills and fluency in AI technologies.
• Preferred: Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Next.js, React, Vue, or Angular.
