Senior Backend Engineer – Developer Experience

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with product managers, stakeholders, and fellow engineers to develop and enhance a dynamic, scalable platform.

• Participate in architectural decisions and promote technical excellence throughout the stack, with a focus on the Backend.

• Ensure the use of efficient data structures, clear API interfaces, and support for platform extensibility and third-party integrations.

• Involve yourself in API design and implementation, guaranteeing high-quality code complemented by well-defined testing strategies and a scalability mindset.

⛳️ Requirements

• Profound knowledge of API design, including RESTful, GraphQL, and best practices for creating efficient, scalable APIs.

• Solid experience in backend development for web applications using languages such as PHP, Java, Python, or Go.

• Experience in developing a product with developers as the target audience.

• Familiarity with end-to-end software development, demonstrating a solid understanding of frontend technologies and exposure to React.

• Proficient in writing unit and integration tests, with a strong grasp of error handling, logging, and observability.

• Experience in contract and interface definition to ensure consistent and maintainable code.

• Knowledgeable about testing frameworks and performance best practices.
