Senior Backend Engineer, Deployment Environments

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Develop tools and workflows for cloud-native and self-managed deployment environments.

• Contribute to guidance on Cloud Native deployments, encompassing component specifications, architectural patterns, topology recommendations, and scaling principles.

• Enhance ephemeral environments to align validation more closely with production realities.

• Collaborate across application, infrastructure, and platform domains to maintain consistency in deployment artifacts and environment contracts from development through to production.

• Work in partnership with related teams on packaging, testing, delivery workflows, and deployment guidance for customers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive backend engineering experience, preferably with Kubernetes-based systems, distributed applications, or platform engineering.

• Familiarity with deployment architecture, environment management, or operations in cloud-native environments.

• Ability to navigate the intersection of developer workflows and production infrastructure comfortably.

• Strong systems thinking regarding service dependencies, deployment patterns, and infrastructure abstraction.

• A collaborative and pragmatic mindset towards developing robust platform capabilities.
