Senior Backend Engineer, Context Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Design and develop scalable systems for search and retrieval that integrate both lexical and semantic methodologies.

• Create and maintain connectors to enterprise data sources, including SaaS platforms, data warehouses, document stores, and APIs.

• Construct data pipelines that collect, transform, and index customer data for utilization by AI agents.

• Collaborate with LLM providers and associated frameworks (such as LangChain, LlamaIndex) to enable context-aware agent functionalities.

• Extract and process analytics data from clients' data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks).

• Manage projects from start to finish: encompassing architecture, technical design, implementation, deployment, and continuous maintenance.

• Work alongside product and AI teams to convert retrieval quality into quantifiable improvements in agent performance.

• Enhance retrieval pipelines focusing on latency, relevance, and cost-effectiveness at scale.

• Foster an environment that prioritizes efficiency, creativity, and quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Over 10 years of engineering experience.

• Strong command of Python programming.

• Familiarity with at least one cloud platform (GCP, AWS, Azure).

• Demonstrated success in a fast-paced startup setting.

• Ability to work independently across the tech stack without requiring dedicated DevOps assistance.

• Experience with containerized environments, including Docker and Kubernetes.
