This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
• Oversee the development of significant projects within the team, engaging in cross-team initiatives for Remote's HR and Payroll offerings.
• Actively engage in product-related tasks within the team: provide insights, propose solutions to challenges, and leverage technical knowledge to recommend product enhancements.
• Maintain a robust understanding of the team’s domain from both product and engineering perspectives.
• Offer constructive feedback during code reviews.
• Contribute to the collective codebase.
• Troubleshoot and resolve both technical and business-related issues.
• Involve yourself in activities beyond the team, such as support rotations, recruitment processes, and RFC discussions.
• Mentor fellow engineers and offer guidance.
• Explore, suggest, and take part in the implementation of enhancements to our platform.
• Develop interfaces with a focus on performance, accessibility, and API design.
• Reimagine the engineering workflow, making autonomous agents the standard execution layer.
• Propose and implement agentic workflows from end-to-end (specification → planning → execution → verification) to accelerate outcome delivery.
• Create reusable agentic workflows and components in the codebase for teams to utilize consistently across various domains.
• Implement verification loops (tests, checks, evaluations, guardrails) to ensure results are accurate, secure, dependable, and scalable.
• Solid engineering fundamentals with a proven history of deploying production systems that are secure, reliable, and scalable.
• Hands-on experience in designing or adopting agentic/automation workflows (or similar systems) and refining them through iterative processes.
• Capacity to conceptualize in systems: articulate specifications clearly, decompose plans, implement verification, and maintain quality control.
• Proficiency in Postgres (or similar databases).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, or similar).
