📋 Description

• Transform ambiguous problem statements into production-ready solutions through prototyping, architectural selection, building, testing, deployment, and post-launch ownership.

• Develop and manage production-quality backend services and APIs using Python for Monte Carlo's core platform and agentic systems.

• Design and scale dependable, observable, and efficient distributed systems in response to increasing customer data and agent volume.

• Initiate with straightforward, adaptable designs and refine them as the product and organization expand.

• Create and sustain data pipelines that support analytics, machine learning, and customer-facing features.

• Work collaboratively with product, machine learning, and infrastructure teams to deliver customer value.

• Develop React front ends as necessary to finalize features.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience delivering production backend services.

• Proficiency in Python or another comparable backend language.

• Experience in designing, managing, and troubleshooting APIs and services under high load.

• Proven track record in building and scaling distributed architectures.

• Understanding of the trade-offs concerning reliability, consistency, and observability when operating distributed systems in a production environment.

• Experience in transforming ambiguous challenges from prototype through architecture, construction, testing, and deployment.

• Familiarity with data pipelines or data-intensive systems utilizing AWS and cloud-native services.

• Frontend development experience, preferably with React.

• Knowledge of PySpark and machine learning platforms is an advantage.

• Experience with agentic or LLM-powered systems is a significant asset.
