Senior Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Create and implement scalable back-end systems and APIs that power impactful applications utilized by a large, active user base around the clock.

• Produce production-ready code, advancing new features and functionalities in a 24/7 sports betting setting.

• Balance agility and scalability to facilitate rapid product launches while ensuring systems are designed to adapt and perform at scale.

• Manage the entire software development lifecycle, from initial design to long-term maintenance, performance optimization, and reliability enhancements.

• Address, investigate, and resolve production issues promptly, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

• Ensure all components are designed to handle high volume and real-time demands, focusing on speed and efficiency.

• Collaborate across departments to align technical execution with product objectives, mentoring colleagues and promoting quality standards throughout the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a relevant combination of education, experience, and training.

• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in object-oriented backend development using languages such as C#, with a strong understanding of OOP principles, design patterns, and backend system architecture.

• Demonstrated success in designing and constructing scalable distributed systems in Cloud environments like AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Advanced skills in writing and maintaining automated test suites, including unit, integration, and performance tests, for large-scale backend services.

• A proven ability to mentor and develop other engineers through code reviews, design reviews, and collaborative debugging.
