Senior Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Engage directly with clients to comprehend their technical requirements, challenges, and product deficiencies.

• Collaborate with engineering, product, sales, customer success, and management teams to ensure that customer insights are incorporated into product development.

• Design, develop, and implement backend features, integrations, and technical solutions that meet customer demands.

• Investigate and resolve intricate technical issues related to architecture, infrastructure, performance, and scalability.

• Acquire a comprehensive understanding of the OX platform and assist in linking customer use cases with product functionalities.

• Contribute to decisions regarding backend architecture, API design, system architecture, and technical best practices.

• Support customer-facing technical discussions by offering extensive product and engineering knowledge.

• Assist in enhancing product reliability, performance, scalability, and overall customer satisfaction.

• Thrive in a dynamic environment where technical ownership, collaboration, and customer impact are essential.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in backend development, ideally with a focus on customer-facing or customer-centric products.

• Strong expertise in Node.js and TypeScript, or similar backend technologies.

• Profound knowledge of backend architecture, covering microservices, API design, distributed systems, and design patterns.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, including serverless computing, managed databases, storage, queues, and observability tools.

• Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.

• Experience in building and scaling systems that handle high data volumes.

• Demonstrated ability to address complex technical challenges and deliver efficient, scalable, production-quality solutions.

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the capacity to work effectively across globally distributed teams.

• Experience in agile development settings.

• Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and contemporary software delivery practices.
