Senior Backend Engineer – AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• You will collaborate with a talented team in several of the following areas.

• Noz, your AI colleague: overseeing agent orchestration, executing tools, and managing the APIs that relay results back into the product.

• SigNoz MCP server that provides observability data to LLM agents, enabling any agent to access a user’s logs, metrics, and traces.

• The complex aspects of agent backends: handling long-running executions, ensuring security, streaming via SSE, invoking tools, and maintaining session state across databases.

• LLM/GenAI observability, allowing teams (including ours) to monitor their AI applications using OpenTelemetry.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5-8 years of experience in building backend systems in a production environment. You will be working with both Go and Python.

• Proficient in Go (concurrency, channels, performance) and async Python (FastAPI, Pydantic, asyncio), with a solid background in designing APIs and data models.

• You have developed and deployed LLM features in production: agents, tool or function calling, evaluations, MCP, context, and prompt engineering. You understand how to make a non-deterministic system function reliably.

• Experience in constructing distributed systems while maintaining clean and scalable code.

• Ability to lead initiatives from start to finish: from identifying problems → designing solutions → implementing them → executing the rollout.

• Comfortable operating in a high-ownership, fast-paced, remote-first setting.

• Excellent communication skills, capable of producing clear technical documentation and articulating trade-offs effectively.
