Senior Backend Developer - Python

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain Back-end services using Python;

• Create and enhance REST APIs and microservices;

• Engage in the integration with databases, message queues, and cloud services;

• Address defects and aid in the stabilization of releases;

• Implement unit and integration tests;

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies;

• Document services, interfaces, and technical decisions;

• Collaborate effectively with architects, analysts, and Front-end developers;

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in the information technology field;

• Extensive experience in Python development;

• Proven experience in developing APIs and microservices;

• Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies;

• Cloud experience is a significant advantage;

• Strong analytical abilities for addressing complex technical challenges;

• Proficiency in Python, REST APIs, and Back-end services;

• Understanding of microservices architecture;

• Experience with Git or a similar version control system;

• Knowledge of unit testing, integration testing, and software quality assurance;

• Familiarity with CI/CD practices, DevOps, and technical documentation;

• Experience with Python 3.11 or later, including FastAPI or a similar framework;

• Knowledge of Azure Functions, Azure API Management, and Azure Service Bus;

• Experience with Cosmos DB, distributed NoSQL databases, or graph databases;

• Familiarity with OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, or a comparable distributed search engine;

• Experience with event-driven architectures;

• Availability for contract assignments or resource bench based on client needs;

• Primarily remote work, with the ability to coordinate on-site as necessary;
