Senior Backend Developer – Java

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

• Create, develop, and implement robust and scalable software solutions utilizing Java.

• Design, optimize, and maintain comprehensive RESTful APIs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with Java (Java 8+ / Java 11 or higher).

• Strong proficiency in the Spring Framework ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Security, Spring Cloud).

• Proven experience in developing and maintaining RESTful APIs.

• Advanced understanding of microservices architecture.

• Experience with integration patterns and asynchronous communication.

• Knowledge of event-driven architecture.

• Familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar).

• Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis, or similar).

• Understanding of data modeling and query optimization.

• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or equivalent technologies.

• Knowledge of integration between enterprise systems and external APIs.

• Proficient with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar.

• Experience in monitoring, observability, and troubleshooting within production environments.

• Knowledge of Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Experience with unit, integration, and test automation.

• Familiarity with Clean Code, SOLID principles, Design Patterns, and Clean Architecture.

• Experienced in code review and software engineering best practices.

• Hands-on experience utilizing AI tools to enhance the software development lifecycle.

• Capability to use AI for requirements analysis and refinement, solution modeling, code generation and review, test creation and automation, technical documentation, and analysis of technical impacts and risks.

• Knowledge of integration with generative AI APIs and services.

• Ability to critically assess AI-generated outputs, ensuring quality, security, and alignment with business needs.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Proficient in translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences.

• Capable of facilitating discussions with business, product, and technology stakeholders.

• Strong negotiation skills and experience in managing expectations.

• Ability to comprehend strategic objectives and translate them into technical solutions.

• Capacity to influence decisions without formal authority.
