Staff Rust Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Initiate and lead crucial Rust projects from the initial concept to deployment.

• Write and enhance parsing code with a strong focus on performance.

• Provide support for automated benchmarking.

• Design, implement, and troubleshoot formal grammars, efficient parsers, standard and non-standard automata, along with text-based indexing/search functionalities.

• Integrate the work of other teams into production-ready Rust solutions.

• Utilize profiling, debugging, and continuous integration tools to uphold and improve code quality.

• Convert team outputs into production-ready Rust applications.

• Develop Python bindings and C++/CUDA integration for incorporation into an inference engine.

• Create benchmarks to validate performance standards.

• Construct parsers and compilers for structured generation within language-model systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven ability to lead and contribute to complex, collaborative Rust projects.

• A history of developing well-tested, high-performance software solutions.

• Proficiency in code profiling and debugging techniques.

• Experience with automated workflows in continuous integration environments.

• Capacity to learn and/or work with CUDA, C/C++, and Rust/Python bindings.

• Exceptional communication skills.

• A proactive mindset suited for the culture of an early-stage startup.

• Availability for at least 3 hours daily of overlap with morning business hours in New York City (Eastern Time Zone), specifically from 8am to 1pm.

• A 1-page resume in English.

• Publicly available code or a shareable code profile.

• An expository work sample that showcases communication skills and work processes.
