Senior Backend Developer, Java

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Design and maintain integrations with Simetrik

• Ensure reliable ingestion, reconciliation, and monitoring flows for transactions

• Design, develop, and maintain microservices and backend components using Java + Spring Boot + WebFlux

• Build and integrate secure, efficient, and well-documented REST APIs

• Ensure quality through unit testing, code reviews, and continuous improvement

• Participate in agile teams

• Support deployments and operations in cloud environments

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven knowledge and experience in integration with Simetrik

• Strong experience with Java 21+

• Proficiency in Spring Boot and reactive programming with Spring WebFlux

• Experience in building REST APIs and microservices architecture

• Applied knowledge of Clean Architecture

• Persistence with Hibernate and experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL)

• Unit testing using JUnit + Mockito

• Dependency management and build using Gradle 8.x

• Consuming services using WebClient (WebFlux) or other equivalent clients

• Experience with AWS services (preferably EKS and RDS/Aurora)

• Containerization with Docker and deployments in orchestrated environments (Kubernetes/EKS)
