Senior Backend Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and enhance Java applications and microservices utilizing Spring Boot.

• Engage with legacy systems such as Struts, Servlets, JSP, and PrimeFaces.

• Implement Docker containers and manage orchestration through Kubernetes.

• Create data streaming solutions leveraging Kafka and Kafka Streams.

• Maintain code quality by adhering to best practices and performing testing.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, DevOps, and Product Owners.

• Document processes and architectural choices.

• Monitor and resolve issues within production environments.

• Stay informed on emerging technologies and industry developments.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related discipline.

• Proven experience in software engineering, specifically in Java and/or JVM-based languages.

• Proficiency in developing and managing systems using Java, microservices, and APIs.

• Familiarity with service containerization using Docker and Kubernetes, including AKS, EKS, GKE, and OpenShift.

• Understanding of DevOps tools and methodologies, including Nexus, SonarQube, GitLab, Jenkins, Bamboo, GitHub, and StarTeam.

• Knowledge of continuous integration, automated deployment, unit testing, TDD, BDD, and Agile Scrum practices.

• Experience with private and public cloud environments, including Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.

• A focus on quality and best practices, with a dedication to creating readable, well-tested, and maintainable code.

• Proficient in Java, Spring Boot, WebSphere, JBoss, Kafka, Kafka Streams, SQL Server, and Kubernetes.
