This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and manage backend systems.
• Design and create APIs, services, Ethereum data pipelines and indexers, as well as integrations for staking and validator infrastructure, including monitoring and operational tools.
• Take ownership of system design from start to finish: architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, and observability.
• Collaborate across the Ethereum stack, integrating with both execution layer and consensus layer clients.
• Contribute to Liquid Collective alongside other staking and blockchain infrastructure initiatives at Galaxy.
• Establish and uphold standards for API design, testing methodologies for distributed systems, reliability and fault tolerance, as well as security and key management practices.
• Operate in a specification-first development environment—translating product and protocol requirements into precise technical specifications prior to development.
• Utilize AI-assisted development workflows (e.g., Claude Code) and engage with emerging paradigms such as MCP (Model Context Protocol) and agent-based tools.
• Work collaboratively with protocol, product, and infrastructure teams.
• Guide engineers through code reviews, design critiques, and enhance the overall quality of the team’s output.
• Contribute to the evolution of team practices— not only executing within the current framework but also enhancing it.
• Embrace and advocate for the strategic adoption of AI to boost team performance and business results.
• Utilize AI tools (e.g., generative AI, automation platforms, data copilots) to enhance productivity, decision-making, and the quality of work in daily tasks.
• Over 7 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Extensive experience in building backend systems using Golang.
• Profound understanding of distributed systems.
• Experience with blockchain systems, preferably Ethereum—including knowledge of execution versus consensus layers, node operation, and data flow.
• Familiarity with cloud-native infrastructure: AWS, Kubernetes, Helm, GitOps (e.g., Flux).
• Strong testing practices for complex and stateful systems.
• Experience in remote, asynchronous team environments.
• A high degree of personal agency with a low ego—taking full ownership of work and holding oneself accountable for quality.
