Senior Backend Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain backend services utilizing contemporary technologies (e.g., Python, Go, or Node.js);

• Construct distributed systems employing messaging frameworks (Kafka, RabbitMQ) and microservices architecture;

• Offer technical guidance on essential projects, ensuring the quality, performance, and resilience of solutions;

• Actively engage in technical rituals such as code reviews and architecture discussions;

• Design and enhance scalable, sustainable architectures, weighing performance, cost, security, and availability trade-offs;

• Work on projects involving multiple integrations (external APIs, legacy systems, billing, authentication, etc.);

• Collaborate with Product teams to make informed technical decisions and outline solutions;

• Uphold engineering best practices, including automated testing, observability, and continuous deployment;

• Operate within high-availability, mission-critical environments;

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong proficiency in modern backend development with at least one primary language (e.g., Python, Go, or Node.js);

• Experience with distributed systems, messaging frameworks (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and service-oriented/microservices architectures;

• Familiarity with contemporary infrastructure: Docker, CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring/logging, and continuous deployment;

• Knowledge of both relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis);

• Capability to make technical choices considering performance, scalability, cost, and security trade-offs;

• Practical experience in developing backend systems with modern stacks (FastAPI, Django, Express, Echo, Fiber, etc.);

• Leadership experience in projects with multiple integrations and technical dependencies (e.g., external APIs, billing, authentication, legacy systems);

• Experience with high-availability or mission-critical products;

• Ability to design sustainable architectural solutions and steer technical decisions alongside Product teams;
