Senior Backend Architect – LATAM

📋 Description

• Take ownership of backend systems at a lead level.

• Independently make architectural choices, prioritizing scalability, maintainability, and reliability.

• Design and oversee backend services using NestJS and TypeScript, from schema design to production deployment.

• Develop and support GraphQL APIs within a microservices architecture.

• Manage database design, optimization, and reliability using Postgres.

• Establish technical direction beyond mere implementation specifics.

• Set and uphold quality benchmarks for both AI-generated and manually crafted code.

• Convert ambiguous product requirements into definitive technical solutions.

• Contribute to system architecture, infrastructure choices, testing strategies, and enhancing developer productivity.

• Function within an AI-first operational framework while maintaining high engineering standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in software development.

• Proficient in Node.js.

• Minimum of 3 years working with TypeScript.

• At least 3 years of experience with databases.

• A minimum of 3 years of expertise in NestJS.

• At least 3 years of experience with GraphQL.

• Over 3 years of experience using Postgres.

• Strong familiarity with AI tools in software engineering processes.

• Capability to leverage AI for accelerating implementation, debugging, documentation, and problem resolution.

• Conversational proficiency in English rated from 1 to 10.
