Senior Back End Software Developer – AI, Java, Vert.x, AWS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with team members to establish priorities, specifications, and feature execution.

• Develop well-documented, clean, and thoroughly tested code.

• Design secure and high-performing interfaces and services.

• Create and sustain new, impactful functionalities within Signals Notebook.

• Engage with cloud services and technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in Java programming.

• 3-5 years of proficiency in Reactive Programming (Vert.x).

• 1-2 years of practical experience with AI development tools (creating AI Agents and leveraging AI tools for development).

• 3-5 years of experience in building Web Services and Restful APIs.

• A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.

• Familiarity with the latest AI tools for development is highly advantageous.

• Experience with CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub).

• Proven experience with JDBC in transactional applications (using any RDBMS, preferably PostgreSQL).

• Understanding of performance implications related to various queries and inserts/updates.

• Comprehensive knowledge and experience with structured software development methodologies, including design, development, and testing within an Agile framework.

• Strong teamwork orientation and the capability to promote collaboration both within and across teams.

• Excellent work ethic and a strong sense of ownership regarding end results.

• Entrepreneurial mindset, creative problem solver, and innovative thinker.

• Experience in life sciences, chemistry, or biology is a plus.
