Senior Back-end Engineer, NodeJS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• You will design and implement back-end systems and their interactions with various data stores and external APIs, including third-party APIs.

• You will operate in an agile environment, concentrating on projects that significantly impact our business.

• You will support reliable databases and APIs that facilitate real-time automated decision-making.

• You will deploy your software utilizing industry-standard tools such as Kubernetes clusters and Lambda functions.

• You will investigate and resolve production issues by analyzing code, data, and system behavior, proposing and executing timely fixes to minimize user impact.

• You will prioritize security in all your endeavors, consistently enhancing how we protect our users' data against external threats and internal vulnerabilities.

• You will implement comprehensive automated test suites to ensure high quality and a low failure rate of delivered code.

• You will adopt a DevOps approach to ensure that Defense in Depth principles are adhered to and that containers are as secure as possible.

• You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Senior Engineers, and Architects to comprehend business processes, rules, and requirements, transforming them into high-quality code with automated tests to be deployed in production.

• You will enjoy significant creative freedom and the opportunity to leave your mark on the project, taking ownership and responsibility for your contributions.

⛳️ Requirements

• You should have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.

• You must have a solid practical understanding of at least one relational database system, such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.

• You should be skilled in microservices and system design patterns.

• You must be capable of engaging in discussions and making decisions about software design and architecture.

• You should be an independent problem-solver.

• You must possess the ability to communicate ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical teams.

• You should demonstrate responsibility, accountability, and a strong sense of ownership in delivering high-quality work.

• You should have experience implementing the test pyramid (unit, integration, e2e tests).

• You must effectively utilize good security practices.

• You should exhibit a readiness to learn and expand your skill set as needed by ongoing projects.

• You must have a good command of English, both written and spoken.
