Senior Back-End Engineer, Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain the microservices for the financial platform, which includes financial and bank reconciliation, financial events, and the accounting ledger.

• Improve the processes for issuing CCBs (Brazilian Bank Credit Notes) and integrating with partners involved in issuance and disbursement.

• Create and maintain integrations with FIDCs (Credit Rights Investment Funds), focusing on the acquisition and settlement of credit rights, the production of assignment files, and reconciliation with the fund administrator.

• Oversee and enhance the workflow for issuing invoices and integrating with tax service providers.

• Implement necessary regulatory changes mandated by the Central Bank of Brazil and the Brazilian Federal Revenue Service, including regulatory reports such as 3040, DIMP, and e-Financeira, and guide adaptations to the Tax Reform.

• Work with serverless and event-driven architectures utilizing AWS Lambda, SQS, SNS, Step Functions, and DynamoDB Streams.

• Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Legal/Compliance, Product, and Data teams in an agile setting, converting regulatory and accounting requirements into technical solutions.

• Engage in code reviews, design documents (RFCs), and product initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience (5+ years) with TypeScript in backend development.

• Proficiency in NestJS or similar frameworks (like Express/Fastify), with proven experience in large-scale projects.

• Familiarity with AWS services: Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS/SNS, S3, Secrets Manager, and API Gateway.

• Experience with serverless and event-driven architectures, including asynchronous messaging, idempotency, retries, and dead-letter queues (DLQs).

• Strong emphasis on data consistency and traceability within financial systems, including idempotency, auditability, and secure reprocessing.

• Background in fintech, credit, collections, or FIDC operations.

• Understanding of financial/bank reconciliation, accounting, or the issuance of tax and credit documents (NF-e/NFS-e, CCB).

• Acquainted with the Brazilian regulatory landscape, including the Central Bank of Brazil, Brazilian Federal Revenue Service, and Tax Reform.

• Experience with Rust programming language.

• Knowledge of GraphQL.

• Familiarity with Step Functions for orchestrating intricate workflows.

• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Pulumi, Terraform, or Serverless Framework.
