Senior Back End Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop, enhance, and maintain backend services and APIs using Go to support features within the healthcare marketplace.

• Create and manage ETL pipelines with Python for the purpose of cleaning, transforming, and transferring data throughout the healthcare data ecosystem.

• Design and implement REST APIs supported by PostgreSQL, prioritizing reliability and backward compatibility.

• Utilize AWS services such as S3, Lambda, Step Functions, and Glue to facilitate data processing and pipeline workflows.

• Produce clean, well-tested code that emphasizes performance, maintainability, and security.

• Assist in the ongoing operations and maintenance of existing digital products while contributing to the development of new features.

• Participate in code reviews and help maintain engineering standards within the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in writing backend services using Go (Golang).

• Proficiency in Python for data cleaning, manipulation, and ETL processes.

• Familiarity with Pandas and/or PySpark is a significant advantage.

• Understanding of FHIR or healthcare interoperability standards is beneficial.

• Strong skills in PostgreSQL or similar relational databases and SQL.

• Experience with AWS services including S3, Lambda, Step Functions, or Glue.

• Background in designing and building REST APIs within production settings.

• Knowledge of federal security and compliance requirements is a plus.

• Enjoys working in a remote, collaborative Agile environment and values close collaboration with a cross-functional team.

• Communicates effectively and transparently, whether during code reviews or cross-team planning sessions.
