This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latvia.
• Design, develop, and uphold high-quality backend services utilizing contemporary .NET technologies.
• Assume responsibility for essential system components, encompassing architecture, design, documentation, and long-term maintainability.
• Construct and refine multi-instance and multi-tenant architectures.
• Execute inter-service communication via Azure Service Bus and REST APIs.
• Create and manage scheduled background workers and asynchronous processing pipelines.
• Engage in system architecture discussions, propose enhancements, and influence technical decision-making.
• Continuously enhance code quality, performance, security, and system reliability.
• Conduct code reviews, offer technical guidance, and mentor fellow engineers.
• Collaborate closely with QA and support teams to resolve intricate production issues and bolster system stability.
• Actively participate in enhancing development processes, engineering standards, and delivery practices.
• Involve yourself in the complete software development lifecycle: requirements analysis, estimation, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Over 5 years of professional experience in back-end development utilizing the .NET stack, with a strong emphasis on C# and modern .NET (6+).
• Significant hands-on experience in designing, developing, and sustaining high-performance, scalable, and reliable backend services.
• Demonstrated experience with ASP.NET Web API and the creation of RESTful APIs.
• Expertise in MS SQL Server, including performance tuning, indexing strategies, query optimization, and data modeling.
• Advanced proficiency with Entity Framework, focusing on performance optimization and complex data access scenarios.
• Strong grasp and practical application of SOLID principles, clean architecture, and modern software engineering best practices.
• Extensive experience working with message-based architectures using Azure Service Bus (experience with RabbitMQ, Kafka, or Azure Queue Storage is advantageous).
• Proficient in Git-based version control workflows and collaborative development practices.
• Capability to design and implement robust, maintainable, and testable software solutions.
• Upper-intermediate or higher English communication skills, facilitating effective collaboration in an international environment.
