Senior Azure Infrastructure Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee and manage different versions of Linux infrastructure on a daily basis

• Investigate and adopt new technologies, including transitioning to virtual cloud environments

• Design, implement, and maintain Azure Cloud computing architecture

• Deploy and optimize server and networking infrastructures

• Conduct disaster recovery, patch management, backups, and business continuity operations

• Establish and support configuration management tools

• Monitor servers and services effectively

• Collaborate with other teams to identify technological needs and propose effective solutions

• Document processes for the IT Operations Team

• Develop best practices and enhance existing infrastructure designs and new implementations

• Create documentation that outlines configuration standards, troubleshooting procedures, and infrastructure designs

• Research and apply automation processes that add value to the infrastructure

• Participate as either a leader or member in both local and global projects

• Work alongside project management, IT teams, and Security on infrastructure configurations and challenges

• Contribute to the development of policies, procedures, standards, and global server and service management

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of experience as a Platform Engineer

• Proven ability to take a significant role and successfully manage and complete complex projects

• Fundamental understanding of infrastructure technologies, including virtualized environments, storage systems, and cloud architecture

• Strong expertise in Azure Cloud Infrastructure, Azure NetApp File, Azure native services like AKV and Cloud Functions, OCI, and Linux RHEL

• Programming experience, preferably with bash scripting

• Experience in implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Terraform, ADO, and GitHub

• Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Puppet Config Management

• Experience in VMware administration

• Background in developing solutions to comprehend and resolve complex IT issues beyond commercial products

• Ability to remain up-to-date with the latest technologies and market trends and assess their relevance

• Knowledge of modern cloud-native architectures

• Experience managing hybrid environments with multiple dependencies

• Strong expertise in Linux and computer networking is advantageous
