Senior AWS Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Design and enhance scalable, resilient, and secure cloud architectures mainly on AWS.

• Offer architectural guidance for cloud-native platforms and distributed systems operating in production.

• Evaluate current environments, pinpoint architectural or operational flaws, and outline practical improvements.

• Design and assess Kubernetes-based architectures, covering networking, scaling, availability, security, and workload management.

• Convert business and customer needs into robust technical solutions.

• Lead and participate in customer technical discussions, architecture reviews, solution design sessions, and complex technical escalations.

• Articulate technical issues, trade-offs, risks, and proposed solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Collaborate with Cloud, Platform, SRE, and Software Engineering teams to execute architectural decisions.

• Provide technical support during complex production challenges.

• Establish and advocate for best practices in reliability, scalability, security, observability, and cloud operations.

• Contribute to infrastructure automation and Infrastructure as Code strategies.

• Review and constructively critique existing technical methodologies.

• Assist engineering teams in translating architectural concepts into implementation and production.

• Elevate technical standards through knowledge sharing, mentoring, and architectural guidance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive professional experience in designing and operating solutions on AWS.

• Strong practical understanding of Kubernetes in production settings.

• Demonstrated experience in designing cloud-native, highly available, and scalable architectures.

• In-depth understanding of distributed systems, networking, security, and production infrastructure.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and cloud automation, preferably using Terraform or similar technologies.

• Good comprehension of CI/CD, observability, monitoring, and contemporary cloud engineering practices.

• Ability to evaluate an existing environment, identify weaknesses, and suggest technically sound improvements.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across complex production systems.

• Proven experience in customer interactions, including leading technical discussions with customers and senior stakeholders.

• Capacity to clearly and confidently explain complex technical concepts, including architectural decisions, trade-offs, and risks.

• Ability to take ownership and provide technical recommendations.

• Strong collaboration skills and experience working across Cloud, Platform, SRE, and Software Engineering functions.

• Professional fluency in English (C1+).
