Senior AWS Cloud Developer – Python

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +14 more states.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based applications and backend services.

• Write high-quality production-level Python code on a daily basis.

• Create and support AWS cloud-native applications.

• Architect and implement scalable, reliable cloud solutions.

• Develop APIs and applications driven by events.

• Troubleshoot and resolve intricate application and cloud-related issues.

• Collaborate with engineering and application teams to enhance system design and implementation.

• Assist in cloud migration and modernization projects.

• Contribute to decisions regarding technical architecture and design.

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred 14–15+ years of experience in software development or cloud engineering.

• Extensive practical experience with AWS.

• Typically requires 5+ years of robust Python development experience.

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS Lambda.

• Familiarity with AWS Step Functions.

• Proficient in Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).

• Significant experience in API development.

• Knowledge of Kafka is advantageous.

• Strong experience with CloudWatch.

• In-depth understanding of cloud technologies and architecture.

• Solid knowledge of system design principles.

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong background in backend development.

• Ability to maintain hands-on coding responsibilities in a senior, lead, or architect role.

• Candidates should be actively engaged in software development and comfortable coding regularly.

• Minimum of 5+ years of practical Python development experience.

• Significant recent experience with AWS is required.

• Prior experience in Java development is highly preferred.

• Must possess authorization to work in the United States.

• Candidates must be U.S. citizens or Green Card holders.

• Must be comfortable working on a W2 basis.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science is required.

• Candidates must reside in the Eastern, Central, or Mountain Time Zones; those in PST and Arizona are not eligible.
