Senior AVD Engineer – Azure Virtual Desktop

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, set up, architect, and sustain a large virtual desktop environment.

• Act as the subject matter expert for diagnosing organization-wide performance challenges.

• Execute system design and integration tasks.

• Automate and enhance existing processes.

• Deliver Tier 3/4 support to system administrators in resolving VDI-related issues.

• Facilitate desktop optimization for platform compatibility.

• Serve as a liaison among various Virtual Desktop Infrastructure technologies.

• Provide endpoint support and troubleshoot issues related to virtual desktops.

• Manage, engineer, and implement virtual desktop infrastructure technologies.

• Work across multiple complex production environments and engage with various stakeholders.

• Conduct trade studies to recommend solutions and make decisions on make-or-buy options.

⛳️ Requirements

• Capability to obtain DoD Security Clearance.

• Ability to secure Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Entry On Duty (EOD).

• Master's degree with 10 years of experience OR Bachelor's degree with 13 years of experience OR a total of 19 years of relevant experience.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Azure, Azure Networking, Storage, and Virtual Desktops.

• Experience in managing and administering Windows Servers.

• Familiarity with Azure AD, Intune, and FSLogix.

• Knowledge of Nerdio.

• Experience in managing VDI profiles.

• Expertise in endpoint protection, policy management, and applying STIGs.

• AVD integration experience with Office 365 services.

• Skills in desktop software provisioning and support services.

• Familiarity with MS SQL, Puppet, Chef, Qualys, SCCM, Intune, or MDM solutions is preferred.

• Experience in setting up and integrating IIS and SQL Server is preferred.

• Knowledge of Azure Security Tools such as Sentinel is preferred.

• Strong ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment.
