Senior Autonomy Software Systems Engineer, Python, C++

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Design and uphold Python-driven data pipelines for the ingestion, processing, and analysis of extensive autonomy datasets.

• Create tools for extracting and manipulating data from cloud storage solutions (AWS, GCP, etc.).

• Collaborate with HD/SD map data, vehicle telemetry, and simulation outputs to enhance autonomy workflows.

• Produce efficient and scalable code for data processing, transformation, and analysis.

• Partner with systems, mapping, and AI/ML teams to facilitate data-driven decision-making.

• Generate scripts and tools to aid in scenario generation, ODD analysis, and validation processes.

• Enhance data workflows for improved performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Assist in system-level debugging by evaluating data and identifying the root causes of issues.

• Aid in the integration of data pipelines into larger autonomy and validation frameworks.

⛳️ Requirements

• BS with 6+ years, MS with 3+ years, or PhD with 1+ years in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Robotics, or a related discipline.

• Exceptional proficiency in Python for production-level software development.

• Experience handling large-scale datasets and employing data processing systems.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms and distributed data systems (AWS, GCP, Azure).

• Knowledge of SD/HD maps, geospatial data, or spatial data processing.

• Proven ability to write clean, maintainable, and scalable code.

• Strong debugging and problem-solving capabilities in intricate systems.

• Experience in cross-functional engineering teams.
