Senior Automation Test Engineer, Selenium, Appium

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Develop and execute an automation strategy: Establish and implement scalable automation practices that align with the overall testing strategy.

• Create and sustain test automation: Design, develop, and uphold Selenium WebDriver scripts alongside comprehensive test plans.

• Enhance frameworks and execution: Improve automation frameworks for performance and oversee Selenium Grid management.

• Integrate with CI/CD: Incorporate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous quality.

• Collaborate across teams: Engage closely with QA, developers, product teams, and stakeholders.

• Mentor and provide support: Assist junior and mid-level QA engineers and participate in code review processes.

• Report and enhance: Produce test metrics, analyze results, and contribute to continual improvement efforts.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Automation Test Engineering.

• Demonstrated proficiency in Selenium WebDriver and a programming language such as Java.

• Familiarity with BDD frameworks like Cucumber or CodeceptJS.

• Experience in mobile test automation using frameworks such as Appium.

• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, Agile/Scrum practices, and test management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, TestRail).

• Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).

• Strong analytical and debugging skills for identifying test failures and improving test coverage.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional teams.

• Preferred: Experience with performance and accessibility testing tools and methodologies (e.g., JMeter, Locust).

• Practical experience with API testing tools like Postman or REST Assured.

• Proficiency in the German language.
