Senior Automation Quality Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain automated testing scripts and frameworks.

• Independently create robust and scalable test automation frameworks and scripts.

• Demonstrate expertise in the design and development of intricate automated test scripts.

• Lead the execution of automated test cases and analyze the results to uncover issues.

• Identify, document, and manage software defects until resolution.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Contribute to the development of automation strategies.

• Assist in integrating automated tests into the Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.

• Mentor junior test and quality automation engineers while providing technical guidance.

• Stay informed about the latest trends and technologies in test automation and implement enhancements.

• Engage in innovation initiatives, including artificial intelligence.

• Aid in establishing automation best practices.

• Help document training materials and provide training on automation tools and frameworks.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4-7 years of overall testing experience.

• 2-4 years in automation testing or equivalent automation training.

• Strong proficiency in the Java programming language (Core concepts).

• Robust understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.

• Solid experience with test automation tools such as Karate.

• Good experience with test automation tools including Selenium, JUnit, and TestNG.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and constructing pipelines.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging abilities.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

• Experience in mentoring test automation teams is preferred.
