Senior Associate, Value & Access Insights

📋 Description

• The Value & Access Senior Associate plays a crucial role within the US Value and Access Portfolio Coverage & Pricing team, focusing on analyzing federal and state legislative policies that affect Amgen and the biopharmaceutical sector.

• Collaborate across various departments including value and access, finance, government affairs, marketing, legal, and other stakeholders to perform both qualitative and quantitative evaluations of policy proposals and legislation that has been enacted.

• Create financial models and forecasts to assess the potential effects of healthcare policy modifications on product pricing, reimbursement, coverage, patient access, revenue, and overall organizational efficacy.

• Monitor and evaluate emerging trends in federal and state healthcare policies;

• Anticipate the financial consequences of proposed and enacted legislation;

• Assess risks and opportunities linked to policy modifications;

• Develop scenario analyses and business impact evaluations;

• Deliver data-driven insights to aid strategic decision-making.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s degree

• Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience in policy, finance, consulting, and/or analytics

• Or an Associate’s degree combined with 6 years of experience in policy, finance, consulting, and/or analytics

• Or a High school diploma / GED with 8 years of experience in policy, finance, consulting, and/or analytics

• At least 2 years of experience in analyzing federal and state policies and legislation affecting the biopharmaceutical industry

• Understanding of U.S. government pricing concepts and programs, including ASP, AMP, Best Price, Medicaid, and 340B, along with their effects on pricing, reimbursement, and access decisions

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience in building and maintaining complex financial and/or analytical models

• Background in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry

• Familiarity with commonly utilized biopharmaceutical industry data, such as patient, script, claim, and government data

• Capability to manage multiple projects and meet various deadlines concurrently

• Eagerness to learn and adopt strategic thinking to support essential business decisions

• Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills; able to articulate complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences, including senior leadership teams

• Ability to work collaboratively in team-oriented, cross-functional environments.
