Senior Associate, Strategy & Market Intelligence

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with the CEO to define the criteria for Learneo's investment decisions regarding who, what, where, when, and why.

• Conduct thorough research and provide recommendations for potential investments across various categories, asset classes, and deal types.

• Shape Learneo's investment strategy by researching, assessing, and stress-testing investment themes.

• Execute quantitative and qualitative market mapping and benchmarking activities.

• Develop insights on competitive dynamics, market structure, and value creation.

• Perform in-depth analyses of companies, business models, and competitive environments.

• Monitor market trends and industry signals across technology and related sectors.

• Identify and manage outreach efforts with target companies and founders.

• Create systems for tracking companies and determining optimal engagement timing.

• Formulate and deliver clear, answer-first recommendations to senior leadership.

• Establish Learneo's market intelligence function, including scorecard criteria and standardized evaluation processes for investment and acquisition decisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in investment banking, venture capital, private equity, management consulting, hedge fund analysis, or within an early-stage startup.

• A genuine and intrinsic passion for investing and understanding how companies generate value.

• Capability to form a well-reasoned perspective on unfamiliar markets, from defining the research question to presenting a clear, evidence-based conclusion.

• Strong independent judgment and the ability to construct and defend a confident thesis from ambiguous or incomplete data.

• Quick adaptability to new domains and capacity to operate without a pre-existing framework or deep subject matter expertise.

• Advanced skill in translating quantitative and qualitative research into concise, actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders.

• Solid business, financial, and economic literacy.

• Proficiency in interpreting cap tables, investor memos, and market data as primary resources.
