
Senior Associate – Operational Risk

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Review, oversee, and critically assess risk registers and Risk & Control Self-Assessments.
• Track and report significant risk exposures and emerging risks utilizing risk indicators and control evaluations.
• Assist with Risk Acceptance Requests, including evaluations, approvals, action plans, and finalizations.
• Perform regular reviews of risk registers to ensure quality, completeness, and accuracy.
• Support risk assessments, gap analyses, thematic reviews, and control testing initiatives.
• Manage operational risk projects and related initiatives.
• Analyze operational risk metrics and reports, providing independent insights and challenging decisions related to risk.
• Review and monitor operational risk events, including their classification, loss reporting, root-cause analysis, and action plans.
• Review and challenge Key Risk Indicators.
• Prepare and present risk reports, dashboards, and committee reports for management and governance forums.
• Provide risk advisory support to business units and key stakeholders.
• Collaborate with business units, compliance, and audit teams to enhance the risk and control environment.
• Encourage proactive risk management practices through employee education and engagement.
• Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices in operational risk.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in operational risk management or a comparable field.
• Strong understanding of risk management frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.
• Exceptional analytical and critical thinking abilities, with a knack for identifying and evaluating risks.
• Proficient in risk assessment tools and techniques, including risk registers and control frameworks.
• Experience working collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders to advance risk management initiatives.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex risk information with clarity.
• Ability to operate independently and manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment.
• Keen attention to detail and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of risk management.
• Willingness to stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes.
• Familiarity with banking industry regulations and risk management requirements.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project.
