Senior Associate, Energy Systems Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Perform technical analyses for clients, support business development efforts, and advance initiatives across CSL’s portfolio.

• Investigate clean and resilient energy topics to formulate targeted and well-informed recommendations for clients.

• Recognize energy needs for interconnected infrastructure and devise solutions to enhance resilience.

• Evaluate the technical viability of solutions devised by team members, project stakeholders, and clients.

• Execute data reviews and create visualizations, including geographic information system (GIS) mapping and spatial analysis of infrastructure assets.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify project objectives and develop implementation roadmaps that guarantee client success.

• Engage in discussions about power systems concepts with clients and project partners from non-technical backgrounds.

• Assist project managers in evaluating client requirements, developing technical strategies, preparing proposals, and delivering presentations.

• Travel approximately 25% as necessary, depending on client and project requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, power systems, mechanical, civil, environmental engineering, or a related STEM discipline.

• 3–5+ years of pertinent professional experience with energy companies, electric utilities, research laboratories, or consulting firms.

• Professional experience in any phase of developing and executing energy projects.

• Familiarity with electrical power system infrastructure, equipment, and relevant industry standards and codes.

• Proven ability to utilize GIS software for infrastructure mapping or spatial data evaluation.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the proficiency to convey technical findings to non-technical audiences.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Capacity to excel in highly collaborative and dynamic team environments.
