This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Receive, assess, and process new business submissions along with remarket assignments, ensuring that each file complies with market-ready standards prior to engaging carriers.
• Prepare thorough, precise, and professional submissions; approach suitable carriers for quotes based on established routing protocols and market preferences.
• Request timely feedback from underwriters, negotiate pricing and terms within specified limits, and communicate quote details clearly and swiftly to the RSMs and retail clients.
• Oversee the placement process until binding, including the preparation of binders, checklists, and all necessary marketing file documentation.
• Execute remarket and renewal tasks while ensuring continuity and maintaining file integrity throughout the process.
• Uphold high accuracy standards across all file documentation, including quotes, binders, endorsements, and correspondence.
• Identify and rectify inconsistencies or errors in submissions and policy documents; promptly resolve discrepancies with the retail client or underwriter.
• Adhere to internal Quality Management System (QMS) standards and ensure all transactions are compliant with regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Keep precise and organized records of all account activities within the agency management system.
• Manage an active work-in-progress queue, prioritizing accounts to meet pod-level turnaround and cycle-time service-level agreements (SLAs).
• Provide regular updates to the President of Wholesale regarding quote progress, pending items, and any accounts at risk of failing to meet SLA targets.
• Identify incomplete files and escalate issues when missing information is hindering market-ready status.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with carrier underwriters and market desks pertinent to the pod's portfolio.
• Remain informed on carrier appetites, market conditions, and product changes to facilitate efficient and accurate placement decisions.
• Collaborate with Brokerage Operations and Service Specialists on document processing, policy issuance, and servicing transactions.
• Offer guidance and support to Junior Brokers on intake, assessment, and market-ready preparation as the pod expands.
• Engage in pod-level workflow reviews and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of placement processes.
• A minimum of 2–5 years of experience in wholesale insurance brokerage, commercial lines placement, or E&S underwriting.
• Proven ability to handle a high-volume submission queue with both accuracy and urgency.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities, including the capacity to present quotes and coverage details clearly to retail clients and underwriters.
• Proficient in agency management systems (e.g., Vertafore) and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Capable of working independently and managing time effectively in a fully remote environment.
• Experience in E&S or surplus lines placement across casualty, property, or specialty lines (preferred).
• Established relationships with wholesale carrier underwriters (preferred).
• A genuine interest in the role of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies in insurance underwriting, placement, and workflow automation (preferred).
• A proven track record of self-directed learning (preferred).
• A Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
