Senior Associate – Accounting Support

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Consolidates, evaluates, and reports on the financial performance of the business/group to facilitate the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.

• Aids in establishing an efficient and effective accounting function utilizing standardized information sources and practices.

• Develops strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Examines financial outcomes to assist in the financial period closing and reporting procedures.

• Collects and organizes data into regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards for the assigned legal entity, business, or group financial information sets.

• Assists in the preparation of journal entries, monthly/quarterly reporting packages, and financial statements.

• Supplies information and supports the processes for internal audits (e.g. corporate and SOX) as well as external audits.

• Reviews supporting documentation, raises concerns as needed, and implements any required amendments.

• Coordinates and implements specific activities related to the execution of strategic initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Generally requires 2 to 3 years of relevant experience.

• A post-secondary degree in a related field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on execution.

• Specialized knowledge relevant to the role.

• Good organizational skills.

• Effective collaboration and teamwork skills.
