This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage editorial processes across various online platforms.
• Ensure compliance with content strategies, editorial guidelines, and stylistic conventions.
• Coordinate efforts among regional content providers and editors to ensure timely and high-quality output.
• Evaluate content for precision, clarity, relevance, and alignment with program objectives and audience needs.
• Track site performance, activity, and content effectiveness.
• Recognize trends, challenges, and opportunities for enhancement.
• Contribute to periodic reports for clients that include editorial outputs, site metrics, and observations.
• Assist in program evaluation by providing qualitative and quantitative insights on platform performance.
• Aid in marketing, outreach, and audience engagement initiatives for the site.
• Align messaging priorities and maintain cohesive narratives.
• Suggest modifications to content production strategies based on audience analytics and behavior.
• Collaborate with internal teams, regional content creators, and leadership personnel.
• Clarify assumptions and fine-tune content strategies.
• Present editorial insights and platform trends to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Political Science, International Affairs, Strategic Studies, or a related field is required.
• A Master’s degree is preferred.
• Relevant education and experience may be accepted in place of formal degree qualifications.
• 5–7+ years of pertinent experience in news editing, editorial production, public diplomacy, international affairs, or a related field.
• Additional experience may compensate for educational requirements.
• Familiarity with the cultures and political/social dynamics of the coverage region is essential.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Active DoW Secret clearance is preferred; highly qualified candidates who can obtain a clearance may also be considered.
• Strong editorial judgment and skills in ensuring content quality.
• Experience in managing digital content workflows across distributed teams.
• Ability to analyze platform analytics and integrate insights into editorial planning.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Capability to coordinate multiple contributors and uphold editorial standards.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Travel is limited to less than 10%.
