This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Establish the editorial direction and create a content calendar for Fruit Growers News, Vegetable Growers News, and Organic Grower.
• Oversee daily editorial processes for magazines, websites, and e-newsletters.
• Research, write, and produce content for print, web, video, social media, and multimedia projects.
• Review and edit content for precision, clarity, and conformity with AP and GAMS style guidelines.
• Leverage content analytics and audience insights to enhance engagement and guide editorial choices.
• Source and supervise freelance contributors, managing assignments, deadlines, and budgets.
• Cultivate relationships with growers, researchers, suppliers, and other experts in specialty agriculture.
• Establish trusted connections with readers and advocate for their interests across the brands.
• Work in partnership with advertising and marketing teams while upholding editorial standards.
• Facilitate webinars and engage in events and audience interaction initiatives.
• Represent the brands at industry conferences and trade shows.
• Collaborate with GAMS editorial, design, sales, and marketing teams.
• Identify innovative formats, themes, and opportunities to broaden the brands’ reach and influence.
• Report directly to the Chief Content Officer.
• Solid expertise in reporting, writing, editing, and proofreading.
• Proven experience in creating content for digital platforms.
• Interest in video production, social media, and new storytelling formats.
• Ability to discover engaging stories and tailor them for various audiences and channels.
• Strong organizational abilities and confidence in managing multiple projects and deadlines.
• A collaborative mindset along with clear and thoughtful communication skills.
• Curiosity, good news judgment, and the initiative to take ownership of a brand.
• Experience with editorial calendars, content analytics, B2B media, or agriculture is advantageous.
• Mid-level experience preferred; no specific minimum duration required.
