Senior Architect – Platform Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the design, development, and continuous improvement of intricate, multi-tiered DoW enterprise platform architectures.

• Ensure that all platform designs are in strict compliance with the DoW Enterprise Architecture framework, Zero Trust principles, and applicable DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).

• Assess emerging technologies and offer strategic recommendations to enhance platform performance.

• Manage day-to-day platform operations in a remote setting.

• Establish and enforce stringent platform governance, change management policies, and configuration management controls.

• Propel automation initiatives in environment provisioning, deployments, and monitoring to improve operational efficiency.

• Act as the main technical point of contact (POC) for stakeholders.

• Mentor, guide, and collaborate with a distributed, multidisciplinary team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7+ years of progressive experience in enterprise systems architecture.

• Must possess and maintain an Active DoW Secret Security Clearance.

• Proven experience in architecting and managing large-scale platforms within a Department of War (DoW) or military service branch setting.

• Extensive knowledge of enterprise-level cloud platforms.

• Practical experience with AWS (including AWS GovCloud).

• Demonstrated experience in managing multiple environments (development, test, staging, production).

• Strong understanding of modern deployment methodologies, including CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

• Experience in designing, operating, and securing platforms within DoW cyber security environments, including IL4 and IL5, in accordance with RMF and ATO requirements.

• Experience with low-code development platforms is mandatory; proficiency in OutSystems is highly preferred.

• Active DoW 8570/8140 IAT Level II or III certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CISSP) or equivalent platform/architecture certifications.
