Senior Architect, Integration Hub Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement API-first and event-driven architectures that facilitate scalable, real-time system interactions.

• Design integration patterns that include REST/gRPC APIs, asynchronous messaging, and event-driven workflows across distributed systems.

• Establish and maintain data contracts, schemas, and interface standards to guarantee consistent and reliable data exchange across various domains.

• Create resilient designs for distributed systems, focusing on preventing duplicate processing, managing retries and replays, and ensuring fault tolerance.

• Drive the modernization of legacy integrations by minimizing point-to-point dependencies and promoting loosely coupled architectures.

• Set best practices for API lifecycle management, including versioning, documentation, security, and governance.

• Provide architectural guidance through design reviews, mentoring, and collaboration across teams to ensure consistent implementation of integration patterns.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in designing and implementing scalable integration solutions within distributed systems.

• Solid understanding of API-based system design and contemporary integration strategies (e.g., synchronous and asynchronous patterns).

• Familiarity with event-driven architectures and messaging principles in practical applications.

• Experience in defining and managing interfaces or data exchange mechanisms across systems.

• Knowledge of reliability factors in distributed systems (e.g., addressing failures, retries, or handling duplicate processing).

• Background in working with a blend of legacy and modern systems in intricate enterprise settings.

• Proficient in backend or service-oriented development using programming languages such as Java, Python, or similar.
