Senior Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with product management and engineering teams to articulate and design solutions that align with Akamai's strategic goals and roadmap.

• Present and advocate for architectural designs and technical visions to internal cross-functional teams.

• Establish and enforce standards for system design, development, thorough testing, and quality assurance practices.

• Create reliable, high-quality, and user-friendly software for robust, scalable, and highly available systems.

• Investigate emerging trends and technologies related to network operations and automation.

• Work alongside stakeholders and developers to provide software solutions that emphasize automation, scalability, and reliability.

⛳️ Requirements

• 12 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in computer science, or equivalent practical experience.

• Extensive experience in the design and implementation of distributed system architecture.

• Proven history of delivering scalable, reliable, and secure solutions.

• Experience in presenting and supporting architectural and security designs, as well as technical visions, to internal cross-functional teams.

• Familiarity with the software development life cycle.

• Proficient in the Unix/Linux environment.
