This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and sustain SentiLink’s fraud detection models throughout the entire model development lifecycle: from data acquisition strategies to feature engineering, focusing labeling resources, model training, experimentation, deployment, and monitoring.
• Establish foundational modeling to support SentiLink’s growing range of Fraud and Financial Risk products.
• Investigate new fraud types and create innovative SentiLink products centered on identity verification.
• Attain success by conducting research and development through iterations, integration of new data sources, and innovative feature engineering.
• Write production-ready code that our partners can depend on for real-time decision-making.
• Design, execute, and present analyses that will guide data acquisition, product development, risk operations priorities, marketing, and sales initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineering, risk operations, and data acquisition teams to access essential data, uphold data quality, and facilitate data access.
• 4+ years of relevant work experience with a relevant PhD or 6+ years with a relevant Master's degree.
• Demonstrated success in solving intricate and high-profile business challenges using Data Science/Machine Learning solutions.
• Proven experience in conveying outcomes and progress to senior management and stakeholders.
• Strong expertise in "end-to-end" Data Science development: Planning, defining success criteria/metrics, obtaining buy-in, developing the solution, and delivering the solution (production, presentations, strategy documents, etc.).
• Solid practical knowledge of Machine Learning/Statistics, with the ability to effectively utilize standard ML/stats tools to quickly outline solutions and focus efforts where necessary. Familiarity with State-of-the-Art ML solutions is advantageous.
• Interest in cultivating deep domain expertise for product-centric work: a background in fraud is not mandatory, but a willingness to learn is essential.
• Experience in writing production code and conducting tests.
• Detail-oriented and considerate - someone we can trust to make impactful business decisions.
• Bonus for experience with identity solutions, fintech, or related industries.
• Prior experience in a startup is highly preferred.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment that demands the resolution of diverse, high-impact, and open-ended problems.
