Senior Applied AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and deploy production-quality GenAI features that assist teams in data exploration, enhance question formulation, and ensure confidence in the resulting answers.

• Take full ownership of GenAI features from system architecture and LLM integration to deployment, monitoring, and ongoing refinement.

• Design and sustain reusable components of the GenAI platform that facilitate safer and more efficient deployment of AI-driven features across Teamworks.

• Set and document best practices for the reliable building, testing, and operation of GenAI systems in a production environment.

• Make architectural choices that effectively balance speed, scalability, reliability, security, and cost within a multi-tenant data setup.

• Collaborate with Product, Design, and domain experts to provide trustworthy and explainable AI experiences that are in line with actual user workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of professional software engineering experience in developing and managing production systems that have a real impact on customers.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering GenAI-powered or ML-enabled features to production, with responsibilities extending beyond mere prototypes or demonstrations.

• Strong expertise in TypeScript and Node.js, including the development and maintenance of backend services and APIs.

• Excellent skills in system design and architecture, with a background in creating distributed, reliable, and observable services.

• Solid understanding of data reasoning and SQL principles, including aggregation, time-based analysis, and performance optimization.

• Practical experience in designing and managing production GenAI systems that incorporate prompts, tool interfaces, guardrails, and failure management within cloud environments (AWS preferred).
