Senior Applications Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Define and uphold application architecture roadmaps that align with business strategies, digital transformation goals, and target-state architecture.

• Spearhead the design of scalable, secure, resilient, and maintainable application solutions across cloud-native, SaaS, bespoke, and legacy technology environments.

• Establish standards and best practices for application integration, API, event-driven, and microservices architecture.

• Provide architecture governance, design assurance, risk management, and technical leadership throughout significant transformation programs.

• Foster trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, customers, delivery teams, and suppliers.

• Mentor architects and technical specialists.

• Engage in application modernization, cloud transformation, platform engineering, and enterprise integration initiatives.

• Ensure that technology investments yield measurable business value while upholding security, resilience, and regulatory compliance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in Application Architecture, Solution Architecture, Software Engineering, or Enterprise Architecture leadership positions.

• Demonstrated success in delivering enterprise-scale applications, digital services, and transformation programs within Financial Services, Banking, Insurance, Payments, or similarly regulated industries.

• Profound expertise in API management, integration platforms, event-driven architectures, distributed systems, and microservices.

• Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and modern platforms, including Microsoft Azure and/or AWS.

• Outstanding stakeholder management, governance, risk management, and architecture assurance skills.

• TOGAF certification and experience in applying enterprise architecture frameworks.

• Knowledge of DevSecOps, CI/CD, application security, observability, and contemporary engineering practices.

• Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain SC clearance.

• Based in the UK.
