Senior Application Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Act as the main technical liaison with new nuclear power plant clients in Poland and other European nations prior to contract finalization for site-specific design.

• Assess customer, country, and site-specific needs for prospective projects.

• Identify which potential locations are most suitable for BWRX-300 reactors.

• Define the modifications required to adapt the standard BWRX-300 design for individual projects.

• Oversee site layouts, conduct external hazard screenings, and develop preliminary heat balances.

• Facilitate collaboration between GE Vernova engineering teams, external partners, and clients.

• Create delivery timelines, cost projections, and frameworks for project responsibilities.

• Ensure technical coherence from design through to commercial operations.

• Represent expertise in engineering, fuel, and services during high-level customer discussions.

• Convert complex technical requirements into persuasive value propositions.

• Integrate customer development strategies and competitive insights to guide product offerings.

• Collaborate with Sales and Product Line Management to enhance competitiveness.

• Showcase GE Vernova technology and solutions to clients as a subject matter expert.

• Engage with various organizational levels to ensure the GEH BWRX-300 product offering meets customer expectations.

• Report directly to the Technical Sales Director.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) field.

• Extensive experience in Application or Sales Engineering, Construction Project Management, or comparable large-scale project management with a strong customer engagement focus.

• Exceptional proficiency in both English and Polish, including technical terminology, in written and spoken forms.

• Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time, primarily within Poland.

• Preferred field experience with new nuclear power plant projects.

• Knowledge of nuclear power systems, controls, equipment, and international nuclear regulatory frameworks is preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and cultivate effective networks to enhance project efficiency is preferred.

• Must be a resident of Poland with unrestricted legal authorization to work in the country.

• Citizenship of a country listed on the U.S. Department of Energy’s List of Generally Authorized Countries (10 CFR Part 810 Appendix A) is required, unless specific authorization is obtained.
