Senior Application and Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Develop, sustain, configure, and document software components in line with approved design specifications and architectural requirements.

• Design, create, and integrate application components, services, and APIs within intricate enterprise environments.

• Create interoperability components and reusable software modules following established integration frameworks.

• Execute user requirements and convert technical specifications into maintainable software solutions.

• Build web and multi-tier applications utilizing modern development frameworks, tools, and programming languages.

• Design and run unit tests, integration tests, and automated test scripts.

• Engage in code reviews to ensure code quality, security, maintainability, and compliance with development standards.

• Integrate applications with external systems, APIs, messaging platforms, and interoperability services.

• Assist in deployment, configuration, troubleshooting, and the ongoing enhancement of software solutions.

• Prepare and update technical documentation, installation guides, and operational manuals.

• Mentor and guide junior developers while contributing to knowledge sharing within the development team.

• Collaborate with architects, analysts, testers, DevOps engineers, and business stakeholders throughout the software lifecycle.

• Operate within Agile delivery teams using modern collaboration and project management tools.

• Contribute to best practices in development and continuous improvement initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant IT professional experience, including at least 5 years as a software and application developer.

• Minimum educational qualification: Level 6 (Bachelor's degree or equivalent) in an ICT-related field.

• At least 1 year of hands-on experience with CASE tools, Visio, or equivalent modeling and development tools.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience with Java and associated development frameworks, such as Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Java EE/Jakarta EE, Hibernate, JPA, or similar technologies.

• At least 3 years of experience working in Agile environments using collaboration and project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or equivalent.

• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle practices, object-oriented programming, design patterns, and enterprise application development.

• Experience in developing web applications, multi-tier architectures, RESTful services, SOAP services, and distributed systems.

• Experience integrating applications with external systems via APIs, messaging platforms, interoperability frameworks, or service-oriented architectures.

• Familiarity with designing and executing unit tests, integration tests, automated testing activities, and code quality assurance processes.

• Experience with deployment, configuration, CI/CD pipelines, container platforms, and contemporary software delivery practices.

• Ability to comprehend technical designs, architecture specifications, and system models, translating them into software solutions.

• Experience participating in code reviews and applying secure coding, quality assurance, and software engineering best practices.

• Experience mentoring or guiding junior developers and fostering technical knowledge sharing within development teams.

• Exceptional communication, analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with the ability to perform effectively in an international and multicultural environment.
